The new year is well under way and I am getting back to blogging after a slightly long somewhat unscheduled break. I hadn’t planned on taking such a long break, but I ran into some technical issues with the website. The blog posts I had scheduled to share with you were all Christmas related and by the time I got the site back up and running properly it seemed a little too late to be posting Christmas stuff. The good news is for once in my life I am way ahead of schedule for some fun Christmas projects for next year! Take notice because this might not ever happen again.
Anyhoo, since I was MIA over the holidays I really hope you all enjoyed your festivities and have had a very happy start to the new year. I have been doing what I do every new year which is evaluate the previous year and get excited for the things to come. I love all Holidays, but I really think that New Year’s is my favorite. The obvious reason is because I like to obsessively plan and let’s face it this is the Holiday that a large majority of the focus revolves around planning. I also like the feeling of a clean slate and a fresh start. So for the new year, I have some really exciting organizational projects and ideas coming, as well as some super fun and simple home decor ideas! I can’t wait to share them with you, and I also can’t wait to hear what everyone else has planned for their new year.
In other news. . .
Just after the new year we had my best friend’s new puppy Jax come stay with us, and I took a walk with the dogs in the snow to reflect and ruminate over my goals for the year ahead.
Jax and Kamea had sooooo much fun playing in the snow.
Isn’t he the cutest?!?
Kamea was contemplating the year ahead as well. (I wonder how many rabbits I will chase?, I wonder if I’ll catch a rabbit?, I hope I get steak for dinner!, Why does that dog keep biting my leg?).
Snow chops to the rescue!
I must have had snow on my lens or the much more likely explanation that there were UFO’s flying around that morning. Probably snow. . . or was it???
“Follow me I will show you where the rabbits hide.”
Where’s that wascally wabbit?!?
I love how the frost makes crystals on all the dead weeds and grass. So pretty.
Jax is warming up and napping after our very relaxing walk. Well, it was relaxing for me. It seemed like a pretty hard work out for them.
